Animal-Friendly and efficient bleeding

After stunning, it’s crucial to perform bleeding of the animals in an efficient and animal-friendly manner. DGS systems ensure fast and complete bleeding, contributing to humane slaughtering practices and enhancing meat quality.

From the captive bolt pen of the stun box, the animal can be easily attached to the feed elevator using a leg chain. We offer two types of leg chains: bi-rail and roller hooks. Our standard bleeding conveyors come with a galvanized chain, but optionally, we also provide maintenance-friendly stainless steel chains. For blood collection and drainage, we’ve developed hygienic and easy-to-clean stainless steel blood troughs. These ensure easy blood drainage and possible further processing.

Customized bleeding process by DGS

DGS can provide slaughterhouses with suitable and ergonomic solutions that comply with strict regulations during the bleeding process. This is considered during the layout design phase. If necessary, we offer accumulation links to extend bleeding time. Additionally, we also offer solutions for halal and kosher slaughtering.

  • Fast and complete blood loss
  • Regular, halal, and kosher slaughtering

Esophagus Closure: Improved Hygiene and Food Safety

In collaboration with our partner Kuziba, we offer an innovative solution for esophagus closure. This helps prevent stomach contents and other bacteria from coming into contact with the animal’s carcass, reducing the risk of meat contamination. Furthermore, the esophagus plug prevents cuts in the neck and chest skin of the animal, minimizing contact between the hands of butchers and the meat.

This unique plug, suitable for cattle and calves, is metal detectable and complies with all international guidelines. This makes Kuziba’s esophagus plug an indispensable improvement for both regular and halal and kosher slaughter processes.
